Jake & Jackson (Tatar) are a father-son duo that formed in 2015 when Jake retired as the lead singer of the Boat Drunks. Jackson, in 7th grade at the time, was a great drummer, piano player, and singer, and he and Jake would perform at community festivals and other family events together. Since then, Jackson (now a junior in high school) has quickly learned the guitar and the duo now brings a piano and acoustic guitars. Jake has written dozens of his own songs and the duo often play these originals, with Jackson taking the lead on the songs his father recorded. This isn’t a typical musical duo; the two mix piano and guitars, switch instruments and lead vocals, and add other interesting musical touches that make their music sound nothing like anyone else is doing. And that’s reinforced in their musical catalog–they perform songs from every decade from the 1960s to the 2010s, and it’s typically material you won’t hear other bands/duos/musical acts cover (Howard Jones, Shenandoah, John Prine, and REO Speedwagon to name a few).

Mid-October, a pop-folk duo, based out of Urbana, IL, is the partnership between Jonathon Parrish and Therese Brown. The two met while putting together a band in Jonathon’s garage. For him it was love at first sight. For Therese, not so much. Through persistence and determination, from the beginning of that summer to the middle of October, Jonathon finally had changed her mind. She had fallen for him. After that, they paired their musical talents together and with beautiful, well-blended harmonies and fantastically written original love songs, are playing venues all over Illinois. They hope to remind their audiences that true passion and love can come from the heart and be put into music.

Citraweizen’s recipe is based on our Hefeweizen, but we lightened up the color a bit and dry hopped it with a whole bunch of a hop called Citra. True to their name, Citra Hops give this beer a citrus aroma and flavor that pair perfectly with our wheat beer’s traditional banana character. Citra-Weizen is the ideal beer to help you beat this Illinois summer heat.

    IBU: 12
Grain: Riggs-Grown Wheat Malt, 2 Row, Carafoam, Acidulated

Brien’s Bistro food truck will be here 5-8 pm serving their regular menu along with a special Citraweizen BBQ sauce.

The Riders love playing for an audience that is active, dancin’ and drinkin’. We love exploring classic country music, Americana music (John Fogarty, etc) and some classic rock. Our passion is learning and playing well songs everyone knows but rarely hear other bands play. Songs like King of the Road by Roger Miller, Glen Campbell’s Gentle on My Mind. Of course no Riders set would be complete without some Elvis. The band can likely be best described as playing everything from Buck Owens to the Beatles and back….. come on out and hear the band, you’ll be smiling!
