Live Thru Wednesday is a 3-piece Reggae/Rock/Ska band from the Westville, IL area who formed in the fall of 2015. Since the spring of 2016, they’ve played an upwards of 75+ local shows around the Danville, Champaign-Urbana and Covington, IN areas, with an eclectic style ranging anywhere from Sublime, to 311, to Pepper.

The line-up currently consists of Caleb Seripinas (guitar/vocals), John Seripinas (Bass/vocals), and Cody Guyer (percussion).

In addition to multiple shows played in the area, the group has also had 2 different E.P. tracks to make local radio airplay, which includes local CU radio stations 107.1 WPGU University of Illinois, 88.7 WPCD Parkland CC, and 90.1 WEFT Community Radio. After laying down a 4 track E.P. last summer, the band is currently in the studio (courtesy of Rebelsfare Collective Studios) recording a full-length, 12-track L.P, which should be released by the spring of 2019.

On May 9th, Riggs Beer Company will release May’s seasonal: Session India Pale Lager

If you’ve been following our facebook updates, you’ve seen that – for the first time – Riggs Beer Company has collaborated with another brewery on a beer. For this special event, we worked with Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, St. Louis. Just like our brewmaster Matt, their brewmaster Florian is a German certified Braumeister. Both breweries focus on traditional German and American styles. While Urban Chestnut has a branch in the Urban Chestnut Hallertau in Germany, surrounded by hop fields, we are surrounded by fields where the grain was grown for this beer.
100% of the grain in this beer is Riggs-grown
We pitched a mix of both the Riggs house lager yeast strain, and Urban Chestnuts lager yeast strain.
The main difference is in the water.
We brewed a batch here in Urbana together, which will be released on draft only on 5/9/19. We also hauled a truck load of grain down to St. Louis and brewed a batch there. This will be available for draft and in a can.

SIPL (short for Session India Pale Lager) is low in alcohol content but has plenty of American hop character. At 4.6% ABV, you can literally make an afternoon out of enjoying the wonderfully balanced lemon zest aroma and soft malt character of this little beauty. The finish is dry, clean, and slightly bitter, leaving you ready for another SIPL. And why not? It’s only 4.6%.

    With special catering 5-8 pm:

Smoked Wings with Riggs Beer BBQ Sauce

Mid-October, a pop-folk duo, based out of Urbana, IL, is the partnership between Jonathon Parrish and Therese Brown. The two met while putting together a band in Jonathon’s garage. For him it was love at first sight. For Therese, not so much. Through persistence and determination, from the beginning of that summer to the middle of October, Jonathon finally had changed her mind. She had fallen for him. After that, they paired their musical talents together and with beautiful, well-blended harmonies and fantastically written original love songs, are playing venues all of Illinois. They hope to remind their audiences that true passion and love can come from the heart and be put into music.

    No cover charge.
