On October 10th, Riggs Beer Company will release October’s seasonal: Dunkelweizen

Riggs Dunkelweizen has a distinct advantage over other dark beers. Just in time for brew day, we had our local maltster custom roast some Riggs-grown wheat. The use of freshly roasted wheat gives this beer a truly unique fresh roast character.

This year’s Dunkelweizen has an incredibly smooth “roasty” aroma and flavor up front. Its medium body carries nutty and cocoa flavors nicely. As is typical in wheat beers, Riggs Dunkelweizen has a noticeably “clovey” finish and virtually no hop flavor.

    • 5.3% ABV
    • 13 IBU
    • Grain: Munich, Dark Wheat, Riggs-Grown Pale Wheat, CaraHell, Riggs-Grown Roasted Wheat, Acidulated
    • Hops: Magnum

    With special catering 5-8 pm:

    • Schnitzel/Jägerschnitzel – served with Spätzle and red cabbage

Its a Reformation Celebration for Hops and Hymns! Join us on Reformation Sunday for an evening of singing all of our favorite hymns. While this is hosted by the area ELCA Lutheran Churches, this is a public event and all are welcome regardless of age, faith, or singing ability. Riggs has an outdoor play area so children are welcome to come and play. Or, if your family is made up of fur babies, dogs are welcome to come as well. We will be in the party porch, so there will be plenty of seating as we open into the outdoor space.

While we love Rigg’s beer, it is not a requirement for the event. There are a variety of beverages for purchase, including non-alcoholic options. Food trucks will also be available that evening.

If you have any questions, please contact Caitlyn Reinders at gracelife@gracelutherancu.org
